Tottenham fans should be seriously excited after seeing image of 26-year-old in training yesterday
There were just two contenders for Tottenham’s Player of the Season award at the beginning of 2023.
Everyone anticipated Harry Kane, the club’s all-time leading scorer and captain of England, to perform at a certain level.
Alongside him, Rodrigo Bentancur was giving everything he had for Spurs, but after the World Cup break, their season was on the verge of failing.
Antonio Conte’s enthusiasm was waning, and the team’s attitude and performance were beginning to suffer as a result.
Then, in his final game of the season against Leicester City, Bentancur scored the first goal.
He was replaced after 65 minutes due to a knee ailment that has kept him out for the past eight months.
Bentancur’s rehabilitation process has been lengthy and difficult, but seeing him practice with Tottenham will give supporters another cause to be delighted about the team’s outstanding start to the season.
Although he won’t be needed right away, he will be needed in the beginning of the following year.
Bentancur ‘stepping up’ in Tottenham training
The club posted a photo of Bentancur working on his mobility next to the captain, who is seen “stepping it up.”
According to Ange Postecoglou, the £20 million midfielder’s homecoming is still scheduled for next month.
In order to prevent a recurrence of Bentancur’s knee problem, the Australian is taking all necessary precautions.

Bentancur has lately been taken out of training in order to protect him, but it looks like the Tottenham star will soon be back in action.
Spurs haven’t missed the 26-year-old this season thanks to the emergence of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma’s excellent play.
The pair will both be participating in the African Cup of Nations, so if Bentancur hasn’t already made the team by then, he will need to be well enough to play in their place.
It’s critical for Tottenham and Bentancur to exercise caution after such a severe injury.
But the Uruguayan’s return will be yet another plus for Tottenham fans in a summer full of positives.
