According to Nixon, Norwich has been unsuccessful in getting the goalkeeper to agree to a new contract. As a result, it’s possible that the two teams will now sit down and negotiate a deal.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed to a fee with highly-rated forward Thompson, who has been training with the club in recent weeks after declining a contract with Norwich City. It is understood that the 24-year-old is keen to leave the Canaries for the Premier League leaders.
It appears that Thompson will be granted his wish as Spurs have been impressed with his progress in training and a deal could be agreed in the coming weeks.
It has been reported that Spurs are willing to pay a remuneration to Norwich City to secure Thompson’s signature and may have overtaken Sheffield Wednesday in the transfer market, with the Owls also looking to bolster their options.
The Owls are currently in a difficult period in the Championship and could potentially provide Thompson with a chance to start sooner than Spurs, however, it appears that Thompson’s preference lies with the current Premier League leaders.
