Tottenham Hotspur is rumored to be sending scouts to Turkey later this month to observe center-back Victor Nelsson in action, according to FotoSpor.

Throughout the entire summer transfer window, Nelsson was linked with a move to Tottenham (Takvim), but he remained at Galatasaray because the North London club signed Micky van de Ven to bolster their defense.

Last week, Akşam stated that Tottenham is still interested in the Danish player, who Galatasaray estimates to be worth €30 million (£26 million).

Spurs expected to watch Nelsson in action

According to FotoSpor’s latest update, Spurs are one of a number of clubs who will be sending scouts to Turkey to see Nelsson play against Bayern Munich on the 24th of October.

According to the report, scouts from five other top-flight sides will also be at RAMS Park to observe a number of players.

FotoSpor also reports that Spurs will be keeping an eye on right-back Sace Boey, and the Lilywhites are willing to pay ‘eye-watering’ amounts to sign both Nelsson and Boey from Galatasaray.

It would appear that FotoSpor are making a guess as to which player Spurs will be watching in that game.

Spurs do need a new centre-back, but they will likely want to sign one of a higher quality.
