Tottenham send message about rescheduled Liverpool game and who will replace Manor Solomon
It’s time for the most recent edition of Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham, which can be found on YouTube and as a podcast right now.
It’s been almost a week since Luis Diaz’s controversial goal in Tottenham’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool, and it’s still the talk of the football world. Manager Jurgen Klopp was asked for his thoughts on the matter on Wednesday afternoon, following the release of PGMOL’s VAR audio.
Solomon is set to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on her right knee.
The press conference was dominated by the issue of last Saturday’s game at Tottenham, with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp once again refusing to answer questions about his side’s Europa League opponents.
He did, however, say that a replay should be the only outcome, though he admitted that it probably wouldn’t happen.
Given everything Klopp had said in his press conference, some Spurs fans were given an almighty fright almost 24 hours later. A notification from Tottenham’s official app read: “Our home league clash with Liverpool has been rescheduled.” The alert however was to do with a new date for the Women’s Super League fixture between the sides.
The latest episode of our Tottenham podcast, “Gold & Guest Talk Spurs”, features our Tottenham correspondents, Aleddair Gold, and Rob Guest, discussing the cheeky app notifications from Tottenham and Jurgen Klopp’s latest comments.
We also discuss the latest news on Manor Solomon’s injury, with Spurs confirming that the right-sided attacker has undergone surgery and will be working with the club’s medical staff to begin his rehabilitation. We also discuss who will be replacing Solomon in the squad for the foreseeable future.
