“can someone tell me why” – O’Hara left shocked with what Ange did during win vs Liverpool

Jamie O’Hara, a former Tottenham player who now works as a pundit, has revealed that he was perplexed by the decision to replace Son during Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Liverpool. The match had initially started with Liverpool down a man, but Spurs were fortunate to take advantage of a VAR error to score a goal. Luis Diaz had a legitimate goal, but VAR ruled it out as he was onside. Liverpool then levelled the match with a goal from Gakpo in first-half stoppage time, before Spurs won the game with an own goal from Joel Matip in the 96th minute.

He posted on X:

“I’m on air watching the game can someone tell me why Son got took off? Surely this is his moment”

Ange Postecoglou then said that he removed the South Korean star because of his physical condition.

The Australian claimed that the captain of Tottenham would never play the entire match.

Through Football London, he stated:

“Look, he wasn’t completely healthy, but when we spoke yesterday, he was eager to play. He promised to donate what he could, and he actually did.

He was never going to play the full 90 minutes; we were only ever going to give him an hour or so. However, he once again took the initiative and was the one pressing.

PEDRO PORRO CELEBRATES AS ‘MAGICIAN’ RETURNS TO TOTTENHAM TRAINING

Bryan Gil, a winger for Tottenham Hotspur, has returned to training, and it appears that his teammates are happy to have him back.

After a discouraging injury layoff, Bryan Gil wants to speed up his return to action for Tottenham Hotspur.

Right now, Ange Postecoglou has several of alternatives in the final third.

With Richarlison, Manor Solomon, and Brennan Johnson in the picture, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski are stalwarts.

Gil, who returned to Tottenham after spending the second part of the previous season on loan at Sevilla, is being overlooked in this situation.

Bryan Gil returns to Tottenham Hotspur training

Gil had a successful season with Sevilla, helping them to the Europa League final, before returning to North London in August in order to make an impression on the new manager. However, he had to undergo groin surgery in August, with no timeline given for his return. At least, he is back in training, although he was not included in the squad to take on Liverpool on Saturday.

Tottenham will take their time with Gil’s return, but the players are delighted to have him back. He has shared training images on his Instagram, with Cristian Romero, Emerson Royal, and Giovani Lo Celso all expressing their delight. Pedro Porro has also expressed his support for Gil, referring to him as’mago’, which translates to’magician’ in Spanish.

Gil facing crucial period at Tottenham

Porro may believe that Gil is a talented player when it comes to the ball, however, we are yet to see him consistently in a Spurs jersey. It is more than two years since Gil joined Tottenham, yet he has yet to make a significant impact in North London. The Spaniard has made only thirteen Premier League appearances for the club, having been loaned twice to Valencia and Sevilla. There has been some doubt as to whether Gil is physically able to play in the Premier League, as he is slight in stature.

However, it is clear that Gil has a great deal of technical ability, and it is likely that Postecoglou will be the manager who will be able to make the most of it. If Gil does not make an impact this season, Tottenham will likely look to put an end to his Spurs career in 2024.
