It’s no secret that Tottenham Hotspur have had some great players in recent years, and now one more is being talked about as a potential star. One of those players is Jamie Donley, and ahead of Spurs’ game against Liverpool, he has been spotted in training.

On Thursday, Tottenham’s official website shared images of their players training ahead of the Reds’ visit to N17. In one of the images, Donley is pictured in a non-bib team alongside Eriksen, Ben, Destiny and Pape.

It is great to see Donley training with the senior players, especially ahead of such a huge game against Liverpool. Not only is it a sign of his quality and potential but he will also be receiving great advice from his team-mates.

‘He’s one to watch out for’

Donley has made a name for himself in the Tottenham Academy and is considered to be a future star of the club.

He has scored six goals and provided six assists in his first six games in the Premier League 2 this season.

He also scored twice in his first EFL Trophy appearance against Colchester, helping Spurs to a 1-0 win.

According to The Athletic, Donley is a ‘natural footballer’ who is very elegant and skillful.

He is regarded as one of the best players of his generation at N17 and was interviewed on the View From The Lane Podcast earlier this year.

 

“I think the best young player they’ve got is a lad called Jamie Donley,” said Pitt-Brooke.

“He was born in Northern Ireland, I’ve seen him play actually, and he played in that game he was good.

“He’s a natural footballer, lots of time on the ball, elegant, skilful.

“He was playing in attacking midfield but I gather he can also play up front.

“He’s very highly rated and is thought to be the best of his generation coming through at Tottenham at the moment, so he’s one to watch out for.”
