The Welshman, who recently participated in the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star competition and helped his side win, is most likely to remain in Rome this weekend to witness the Ryder Cup.
Bale has always had a love of golf, and according to Dan Kilpatrick of The Tottenham Way Podcast, he once considered becoming a professional.
Kilpatrick claims that Bale frequently mentioned his desire to become a professional golfer while on loan at Tottenham during the 2020–21 season. Sadly, it appears that plan did not pan out.

Kilpatrick revealed what he knew about Bale’s aspirations in golf.
“I recall that Bale had some hidden aspirations while he was playing for Spurs, and he told people that he wanted to try his hand at being a professional golfer. It hasn’t quite worked out, but I remember hearing that and thinking I was onto the story of a lifetime,” Kilpatrick added.
Still time
Bale still has plenty of time to improve as a golfer even though he hasn’t exactly broken through.
Considering that Bale is only 34 years old, his ability to almost play off a scratch handicap speaks something about his skill.
Given that he already possesses that elite sportsman mentality and that he has the money to pay for the best coaches in the business, he may very well succeed in this sport.
Don’t dismiss Bale as a future golfing star just yet.

Vic, that’s his first derby, Destiny, van de Ven, Pape Matar Sarr, Brennan, they’re all in their early twenties, Porro, even Kulusevski is only 23, so it was a young team but just super proud of the experienced players we did have in there.
“Romero was outstanding, Bissouma has been brilliant all year, Maddison, and Sonny was just on a different level, not just his goals, although they were outstanding, but his work rate, his work ethic was incredible.”
How good is Son Heung-min?
Son, who was crucial in preventing Tottenham from suffering their first loss of the season, has received high appreciation for both his performance and the start of the 2023–2024 season in general. The South Korean international had a forgettable 22–23 season, failing to reach even a fraction of his previous golden boot–winning campaign’s heights.
Son, according to BBC analyst Hutton, is reshaping Spurs in his new job, and there is already speculation of a lucrative new deal being offered to him.
“The way Ange wants Tottenham to play is very football-based, it is not long balls up the pitch,” said Hutton.
“Wow, Son is very intelligent, he can link play and run in behind so it actually suits him and it gives you an opportunity to bring in different wide players – the likes of Richarlison, if he is picked to play alongside him, and Maddison who has been excellent since signing. They have got different options to play there. Son has no problem playing there.“
In just six league games, the 31-year-old has already scored five goals, and he seems to be thoroughly enjoying life under Postecoglou. There is little doubt Son will play a significant, significant part for the balance of the season if he can stay healthy and successful.
