What James Maddison did on Sunday after Arsenal fan threw bottle at him has just emerged

The visitors were 1-0 up at the half-hour mark thanks to an own goal by Cristian Romero, before Spurs equalised three minutes into the second half.

In the second half, Arsenal equalised on 54 minutes thanks to a penalty from Buka Saka, but Son levelled the game just after the hour mark. The game finished with four goals shared between the bitter rivals, with both sides taking something out of it. As is often the case in North London derby football, it was an exhilarating and at times passionate affair.

Tottenham’s YouTube channel has released a new video, titled “Matchday Uncut”, which features a funny moment involving “James Maddison” around six minutes in the first half.

After helping Son score Spurs’ first goal, the 26-year old turned to face the Arsenal supporters as he walked past them to join his teammates in celebration.

After a bottle landed at his feet, it looked like he was exaggerating his steps and turning to the crowd – while seemingly smiling – again. Was he ‘giving it’ to the Arsenal fans? If so, it would have been something that would have been appreciated by the Spurs fans.

He’s been a great signing for Spurs, scoring twice and setting up four goals in his first six league games. Spurs have looked really good since the appointment of Ange Postecogou, and he’s definitely passed the test, so N5 has to give him a point. Next up for Spurs is a Premier League game against Liverpool at the Stadium on Saturday.

‘I WILL DO THAT’: TOTTENHAM ATTACKER SAYS HE IS READY TO PLAY FULLBACK FOR ANGE POSTECOGLOU

Son Heung-min has stated that he is willing to play ‘fullback’ for Tottenham Hotspur. The newly-appointed captain of Tottenham Hotspur has had an auspicious beginning to the new season, culminating in a double against Arsenal on Sunday. This newfound positivity in the Tottenham squad has been reflected in the South Korean’s post-match interview, where he expressed his willingness to play as ‘fullback’ for the Australian if requested.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has started the season with Son in his customary left-wing attacking role, after Harry Kane’s departure, with Richarlison in the number nine role.

The Brazilian star has had a difficult start to the season, despite Ian Wright’s optimism that he will turn things around. After a few weeks on the bench, he was replaced by Son Heung Min, who has since taken up the role of number nine. With six Premier League games under his belt, Son has scored five goals, which is a significant improvement on last season’s total of ten goals.

Son Heung-min as a fullback?!

“The gaffer has a plan,” said Son. “If he plays me as a fullback, then I will do that for him. That’s how I feel, you know.

“If the manager chooses something different, then I will do what he asks for. Sometimes I will play as a winger and sometimes I will play as a striker.

“Every role is good for me. I am very happy to be part of this team and be out on the pitch. The gaffer has the best plan, so I am just trying to stick to it.”

Son is back to his best for Tottenham

Two years ago, Son was crowned the Golden Boot winner in the Premier League, before his form deteriorated in the latter half of last season. The remarkable thing is that, despite not scoring goals, Son was still putting the ball in the right places and missing significant opportunities to score.

After only six matches this season, Son is already at the midway point of replicating his performance from the 2022/23 season, and this new-look Tottenham team is demonstrating that they have much more to offer.
