In the end, however, the Dane remained at Spurs, with a number of sources claiming on Transfer Deadline Day that Atletico’s offer was not good enough to convince them to sell.

Hojbjerg has started just four of the five Premier League games he has played this season, although he has also been a substitute in four of those games.

Just two weeks ago, the 28-year old told Bold that he had “an honest conversation” with “Ange (Postecoglou)” about his role and that he was ready to “give my all” whenever chances presented to him this season.

Spurs’ Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is changing agents

The former Southampton player has now declared that he no longer wishes to be represented by Zahavi, but has declined to elaborate on the reasons for this. In an interview with Ekstra Bladet (as reported by Sport Witness), Hojbjerg stated that the agreement between the two parties had expired and that they had a good relationship.

However, he added that he was focused on his daily work and would not further comment on the matter. It is expected that Spurs will need to look for a replacement for Hojbjerg in January, and it is anticipated that the club will continue to explore the possibility of signing Conor Gallagher.
