‘We’re going to see dynamite from this guy’: Ian Wright says Tottenham have a player who could explode soon

Ian Wright says Tottenham have a ‘dynamite’ player who could explode soon

The 22-year-old has had a torrid time in a Spurs shirt since joining the club from Everton in the summer of 2021. He was one of the worst signings of the window, but we know he is an incredibly talented player. Wright believes he could blow up soon.

Ian Wright thinks Tottenham star Richarlison could explode soon

Last year, Spurs signed the 22-year-old from Everton in a £60 million deal (Sky Sports). Richarlison was one of the best players at the club during his time there and was expected to have the same impact at Spurs, where he will be surrounded by more talented players.

Last season, he scored just once in the entire Premier League season, and didn’t get off to a great start this year either.

He finally broke his duck last weekend against Sheffield United, though, and Spurs fans were quick to give him plenty of love after the game.

Ian Wright, an Arsenal legend, believes that all that is needed for Richarlison to become a legend at Tottenham is to score a goal or score a winning goal. He said on the Wrighty’s House podcast:

“All he needs to do is score a goal and that’s it, and he’ll be safe for life.”

“You have to embrace him and love him as yours. It’s like myself – when you’ve got fans that love you, it doesn’t matter what the rest of them say to you. You’ll always be protected by the fans.

“I think once Richarlison gets that connection properly with Tottenham fans, we’re going to see dynamite from this guy.”

Richarlison is widely acknowledged to be a highly skilled footballer, capable of playing in a variety of positions on the pitch. His impressive work ethic and ability to score goals with both his feet and his head make him a valuable asset to any team. Unfortunately, he has not been able to find success at Tottenham due to a lack of opportunities. His impressive performance against Sheffield United in the FA Cup last week should give him a boost of confidence, and the North London Derby will be a great opportunity for him to make a name for himself. If he can find the back of the net against Arsenal, then he will be a hero to Tottenham supporters.
