Tottenham Hotspur on brink of huge agreement – in huge statement of Ange Postecoglou’s start at Spurs: report

It’s no secret that Tottenham Hotspur are on the brink of signing a new manager – and it’s easy to see why. The Lilywhites have been unbeaten so far this season, and last weekend saw them pull off the biggest comeback in Premier League history at home to Sheffield United.

It’s safe to say that Spurs fans are overjoyed with their new manager, and he’s only just getting to grips with life in North London.

He’s restored the club’s sense of optimism, and fans are already loving him.

This weekend, Spurs travel to face bitter rivals Arsenal, and 90min has the inside scoop on one of the team’s key players.

The report states that the highly-regarded forward is set to sign a long-term contract with the club, as the South Korean finds comfort in the circumstances of Postecoglou’s management.

Son Heung-min has scored 148 goals in 377 appearances for the club, and was handed the captaincy at the beginning of the season by his manager in the wake of Harry Kane’s departure and the arrival of Argentine striker Gonzalo Vicario in place of Hugo Lloris.

How Ange Postecoglou Has ALREADY Fixed Tottenham

It has been reported that Son is enjoying a resurgence under his new boss, after a disappointing end to last season with Antonio Conte in charge.

Postecoglou and Son appear to have forged a strong working relationship, with Son playing either centre-back or left-back in the Australian’s favoured 4-2-3-1 system – and the coach was full of praise for his skipper this week.

“We all know he is a fantastic footballer, but he is also a great person,” he said. “When you are looking for leaders for a group of players, and they are all different types of people, the first and foremost thing is the person.”

“Even from afar, even before I joined the club, obviously I’ve known Sonny for a long time because being from that part of the world myself and working in Asia and the exposure I had to his standing in the community there, you can tell he was respected.”
