Jack Harrison told to return to Leeds United ‘in a heartbeat’ as Everton loanee hailed

Jack Harrison was Leeds United’s “best player last season”, according to Paul Robinson, who would take him back “in a heartbeat.”

Harrison moved from the Championship to the Premier League this summer by going on loan to struggling Everton, but happily for the Elland Road supporters, he will be coming back at the end of the campaign.

The Englishman, who is still recovering from a hip injury and has yet to make his Toffees debut, is expected to be fully healthy by the end of September, according to BirminghamLive (August 15). Last season, the Englishman was a lone bright spot for Leeds during their disappointing relegation-ending campaign.

The 26-year-old has been singled out by Robinson as the only loanee from Leeds United that he would want to be reintegrated into the team for the upcoming season. Robinson believes that if they are promoted this year, the player’s goal-scoring and creative abilities should be rewarded with another chance at Elland Road.

In an exclusively interview MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “I’d take Jack Harrison back in a heartbeat.

“I think he was the best player last year. His goals, creativity, his assists and the way that he contributed to the team. 

“But you look at the other players that are out on loan, I wouldn’t look at that as great if they’re coming back next year.

“You would take back without a shadow of a doubt. He’s injured at the moment and I think that’s possibly why it was a low move to Everton. I think he’ll be a huge asset to them when he gets fit.”
