Worried that Coufal would miss what is slated to be his toughest test of the season due to a “small” injury

And according to rumors from his own country, the Hammers star was forced to miss the match due to a minor injury. According to the sources, Coufal chose not to travel to Budapest for the game but instead stayed in the Czech Republic for medical treatment. As a result, the Czech team was short one player.

There are few details regarding the injury’s nature, but West Ham will likely want to examine Coufal to determine what it is.

The fact that the injury is being called “small” is plainly comforting. However, even minor injuries might sideline a player for a few of weeks.

And with the caliber of players Manchester City has on that side in Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, and company, Coufal’s absence would be felt.
