A boost -Scunthorpe United star joins Leeds United

Jack Jenkins, a midfielder for Leeds United, has been loaned out to Scunthorpe United until January 2024, the team said in a formal statement.

The 21-year-old is moving to Glanford Park for the upcoming few months, according to The Whites, and may make his debut for his new team as soon as this weekend.

 

Jenkins has only made one senior appearance for Leeds, under Marcelo Bielsa, in the FA Cup loss to Crawley Town. Jenkins has been listed on the Leeds Premier League bench nine times.

Right move

Jenkins always appeared to be on the verge of making the first team, but his performance lacked something.

It’s nice that a loan move will allow him to play frequently for the first team and that he can develop some match sharpness at the senior level.

Instead of loaning him out and monitoring his performance there, Leeds would have permanently sold him if they had not had a plan for him.

The past few months at Elland Road have been somewhat eventful, and Jenkins now joins a long list of players who have left the team on loan this summer.

Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Diego Llorente, and Robin Koch all left on loans.

Jenkins should have improved by January and be able to provide something to the first team.

This week, Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear covered a lot of ground, and it appears that Andrea Radrizzani has had enough.

This week, Kinnear gave an interview in which several subjects were covered, including the summer’s outgoings, which the now-former Leeds owner witnessed.

Additionally, it appears like Radrizzani has now retaliated after Kinnear spilled a lot of information.

Radrizzani hits back at Kinnear after Leeds comments

As of right now, Radrizzani seems to be picking up on a number of fan comments on Kinnear’s interview on social media platform X.

It’s interesting to note that Radrizzani is unimpressed with the CEO’s comments; in response to one supporter, the former Leeds manager indicated Kinnear should have been more cautious while negotiating contracts.

 

In one of his responses to a Leeds supporter, Radrizzani argued that as the club’s owner, he bears some of the blame for the issues.

He doesn’t appear to be at all impressed by the CEO’s remarks, though.

Leeds in turmoil

For Leeds, the number of players who left has been a nightmare. Some also departed for next to nothing, which is a major issue.

These comments from Radrizzani only serve to highlight Leeds’ dysfunctional dynamic at the moment. Even if he relinquished his ownership interest in the club, it still demonstrates that the previous situation wasn’t right.

It is unclear how Leeds will be able to make this right. However, the season hasn’t gotten off to a fantastic start at all, and despite a few signings, Leeds just don’t seem to be clicking.

Leeds really has a long season ahead of them. And dealing with this is simply adding to the chaos.
