Whetstone made the admission while discussing rumors that the team had resumed contract negotiations with Soucek’s countryman Vladimir Coufal.

Vladimir Coufal, a right back who turned 31 this month, has a contract that runs through June 2025 after the club exercised a one-year option last season, according to reports that suggest negotiations have resumed.
When his current contract expires, he will be close to 33 years old, making it impossible to imagine him receiving a long-term offer.
