Nation’s media in awe of ‘clever’ Leeds star’s ‘remarkable’ display for loan club on Saturday

One of eight first-team players to depart Leeds on loan was Roca, 26. In the waning seconds of the timeframe, individuals including Robin Koch, Brenden Aaronson, and Diego Llorente joined that list along with Luis Sinisterra.

As of right now, the Spaniard has started each of Betis’ four games. Andoni Iraola’s new team, which had performed admirably in its first three games, welcomed Rayo Vallecano to Betis on Saturday. They triumphed by a score of 1.

Spanish media rave about Leeds star Roca after Saturday win

Two things come to mind in light of Roca’s improved form. Where were this self-assurance and fluid play while he was donning a Leeds jersey? But perhaps the second point—that he is fit for Spain—answers the first.

Roca struggled in his two years at Bayern since he had left Espanyol, where he had established himself as a star and started his career. At Leeds, more game time did not make things better. He is obviously a fit for Spanish football.

In Betis’ fourth La Liga game of the season (23-24), Roca, 26, started for the fourth time since joining the team. After a difficult start to the season, they hosted Andoni Iraola’s former team, Rayo, with the goal of picking up three points. In fact, Betis’ initial schedule was challenging because it included games against Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, and Bilbao. With four points from those three victories, Betis played Rayo at home on Saturday and prevailed 1-0.

With the strong start he has had at Betis, Roca will be overjoyed. Pellegrini has given him the trust he needs to thrive, and after just four games, the Chilean manager is already starting to see results.

Together with Isco and Guido Rodriguez, Roca appears to be laying the groundwork for a fantastic season in his own country. He is displaying the shape that Leeds hoped he would display.

He still has a record at Elland Road, of course. However, it’s likely that Roca has played his final match for Leeds. Though it may result in a permanent expulsion, his remarkable form at Betis is a positive omen.

Along with Rodrigo and Joel Robles, who joined Robbie Fowler’s Al-Qadsiah, Roca is one of several Spanish players that left Leeds in the summer. Robles left a four-word comment on a post.
