‘Don’t do that’: Gary Neville claims ‘big negative’ about Postecoglou’s Spurs has gone unnoticed

GARY NEVILLE HIGHLIGHTS ‘BIG NEGATIVE’ ABOUT POSTECOGLOU AT TOTTENHAM

Gary Neville believes that Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, made a serious mistake when his team lost last week in the Carabao Cup.

Gary Neville believes that Ange Postecoglou should have given the Carabao Cup more attention after Tottenham Hotspur’s manager lost it last week.

Neville was discussing the Premier League standings with the first international break just around the corner on The Gary Neville Podcast.

Despite all the positive press surrounding Tottenham, Neville believes that the team’s Carabao Cup exit represents a “big negative” for the club.

In the Carabao Cup last week, Tottenham and Fulham drew 1-1, with Tottenham ultimately losing on penalties.

In order to rotate his team for the game, Postecoglou made nine changes, and it cost him.

Neville believes that the Carabao Cup elimination of Tottenham’slipped through’ since last week’s transfer deadline received much of the attention.

Neville thinks Postecoglou ought to have treated the Carabao Cup seriously since it offered a genuine opportunity to win trophies, much like the FA Cup.

While acknowledging Tottenham’s’really good’ Premier League play, the former Manchester United defender wasn’t pleased with their Carabao Cup exit.

“Only one minor negative — I say a small negative but I believe it’s quite a big negative — but when they dropped out of the Carabao Cup, that was like a… don’t do that! It almost got by in midweek because everyone was sort of concentrating on other things. Neville said, “Don’t leave the Carabao Cup!” “I know they played Fulham, but that’s one of the two trophies you can probably win, so don’t go out of that. If you want to try and win a trophy and turn the fortunes of the club around and bring silverware, then that’s one of the two you really need to pay attention to.

At least Tottenham defeat hasn’t halted Ange Postecoglou momentum

Postecoglou used his team selection at Fulham, which he will have used since he missed a preseason friendly, to learn more about his players.

Due to the postponement of a match against Leicester, Postecoglou decided to give some fringe players a chance.

Spurs now only genuinely have the FA Cup to aspire for this season, which is not ideal. It backfired horribly.

ENGLAND’S NEWCASTLE – MAY 7 Before Newcastle United and Arsenal’s Premier League match, Gary Neville was a TV analyst for Sky Sports.

After that loss, there was genuine concern among some Tottenham supporters that their team would suffer after losing to Fulham.

However, Spurs came back strong, thrashing Burnley 5-2 at Turf Moor.

Tottenham is currently playing some football that is just amazing, with their offensive style of play even more aesthetically pleasing than it was under Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham supporters appear to be enjoying life under Postecoglou for the time being, and maybe the trophies will follow.
