Journalist shares what Tottenham’s players are now saying about Ange Postecoglou’s training sessions
Journalist Alasdair Gold claims Tottenham Hotspur’s players have been ‘wowed’ by Ange Postecoglou’s training sessions so far.
At Turf Moor, Spurs crushed Burnley 5-2 on Saturday, giving the Australian manager his third straight victory.
Since taking over as manager of Tottenham, Postecoglou has yet to lose in the Premier League.
After numerous seasons under more pragmatist managers, he radically changed Spurs’ style of play in just four games.
And Gold says his training sessions at Hotspur Way have left the players at Tottenham awestruck.
Tottenham’s players ‘wowed’ by Postecoglou
Postecoglou’s training sessions, according to sources close to Tottenham’s players, have been “fantastic,” according to Gold.
The journalist remarked, “The training sessions, honestly, they’re wowed by them, the players.”
The ability to put together a coaching staff from scratch, transfer his entire ideas and philosophy to them, and get them to create these amazing sessions has to be one of his greatest masterstrokes, because, in all honesty, I’ve heard from people in and around the club, people in and around the players, and everyone else about how great these training sessions are at the moment.
Postecoglou has had a really good start to life in North London, and many people have been surprised by how quickly he’s had an impression.
It’s hardly surprising that he has left an effect on his players given his stellar start, which will mostly be attributed to his work on the practice fields.
When you take into account the fact that he has put together an entirely new coaching staff at Spurs to serve as his assistants, it becomes even more astounding.
