Tottenham officially confirm departures for two senior defenders

On the eve of the transfer deadline, Tottenham Hotspur is very active with both probable incomings and outgoings.

Brennan Johnson is apparently on the verge of joining the Spurs, with a medical soon to follow.

Japhet Tanganga and Sergio Reguilon have recently departed Tottenham on loans, rounding up the list of departing players.

Another Spurs player who has been linked to a transfer may hold off for the time being, though.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Tottenham is not persuaded by Atletico Madrid’s initial verbal offer for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The transfer insider claimed on X that the transaction “will not happen” under the existing circumstances. It is insufficient to persuade Spurs.

On transfer deadline day, things move quickly, thus a report from one hour can be completely out of date by the next.

There have also been rumors of a transfer to Fulham, but the Dane is said to have rejected the idea.

Hojbjerg was acquired by Tottenham from Southampton three years prior. He has played 148 times for the team.

He doesn’t appear to be part of Ange Postecoglou’s starting lineup, though. In Tottenham’s first three Premier League games of the year, he has yet to make a start.
