Romano confirms Spurs have “reached an agreement” for £63m player; hoping to get it sorted “by Friday”

According to Romano, Spurs have “reached an agreement” on a player valued at £63 million, and he intends to have everything resolved “by Friday.”

Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is rumored to be close to agreeing to a loan deal with Italian club Genoa.

Famous transfer expert Fabrizio Romano asserts that the loan agreement between Tottenham and Genoa has “reached an agreement” and that the player must now agree to precise terms with the Serie A squad.

Romano shared the news on X (formerly known as Twitter). He wrote:

“Genoa have reached an agreement with Tottenham to sign Tanguy Ndombele on loan.”

“Genoa now working to convince the player.”

“Spurs want to find solution for Ndombele by Friday but it’s up to the player now as Genoa made their best effort.”

Ndombele, who joined Tottenham in 2019 for a club-record £63 million, has struggled to live up to the high expectations that were placed on him. His performances haven’t exactly won over the club’s several managers that have led it throughout his time there.

Ndombele spent the previous season on loan with Napoli, where he contributed to the team’s Serie A victory. The deal fell through despite Napoli wanting to hire him on a long-term basis.

The French midfielder’s transfer to PSG was originally thought to be on the table, but it now appears that the Italian squad will be the front-runners if they can convince him to do so.

Ndombele’s struggles integrating into English football and making a name for himself at Tottenham suggest that a summer transfer could be favourable for all parties.

Tottenham has so far had trouble coming to an agreement with any of the potential bidders, while preferring a permanent sale.

Spurs might suddenly agree to a loan agreement that would take him off their salary for an additional year because of the impending deadline.

Shearer shares what Tottenham players have told him about Pochettino

Shearer revealed what Tottenham’s players had told him about Pochettino’s man-management approach when speaking on The Rest Is Football.

He stated, “I spoke to him extensively last week and I was very impressed with him and I definitely got an understanding.

I’ve talked to a few Spurs players, including Harry, about how he watches out for you, defends you, wants to be engaged in not just your football career but also your life, and how he wants to take care of you.

“I just think that as a man manager, I was really impressed and I came out thinking I totally get why players would run through a brick wall for him.”

During his tenure in North London, Pochettino was well-liked, especially by his players. The current Chelsea manager aided in the development of outstanding players like Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and many others.

Even though he’s less well-liked by Tottenham supporters these days, it’s not shocking to hear his former teammates speak highly of him.

The Blues manager nearly won the Premier League on a few occasions while leading Spurs to a Champions League final.

Chelsea will be hoping he can repeat his achievements at Spurs while also going one step further and aiding the team in winning.

After a rough start for Chelsea’s new ownership group, he will have a challenging task ahead of him. But in terms of their performances, the Blues have had a promising start to the season.
