FABRIZIO ROMANO CONFIRMS SPURS WON’T BE SIGNING STRIKER COMPARED TO AGUERO
Georges Mikautadaze, a Metz striker, is likely to be signed by Ajax, leaving Tottenham Hotspur out.
Fabrizio Romano asserts that Mikautadaze is currently in Amsterdam, and this is the case.
Romano gave the transaction his customary “here we go” and announced that the deal had been finalized on both the player’s and the club’s sides.
The announcement of Mikautadze joining Ajax should happen either tonight or tomorrow, as the Dutch powerhouse moved rapidly to add an attacking talent.
On Sunday, West Ham United purchased Mohammed Kudus, and Mikautadze has since been brought in as a replacement.
Although Mikautadze lacks Kudus’ versatility, he may still have a significant impact in the final third.
Tottenham missed out because the Georgian international has done enough to secure a move to Ajax.

Brennan Johnson of Nottingham Forest is Tottenham’s top target in the final days of the summer transfer window, but Mikautadze also appears to have been a target, according to Voetbal International, who claim that Tottenham joined Rennes and Lyon in attempting to persuade Mikautadze to join them.
Mikautadze, who had his heart set on playing for Ajax, declined because of this.
The agreement has been reached with a set price of approximately €16 million (£13.75 million), though Ajax may still agree to additional payments.
According to The Daily Mail, Mikautadze scored the game-winning goal as Metz defeated Clermont Foot on Sunday.
Mikautadze is on the verge of signing with Ajax, so it’s possible that Spurs tried to persuade him before the deadline.
Mikautadze dazzled last season with 24 goals in 40 appearances, drawing comparisons to Sergio Aguero and his style of play.
Mikautadze’s progress at Ajax may be monitored by Tottenham for a potential future transfer, but for the time being they must move on.
