The Whites, who had a difficult season and went through three managers—Jesse Marsch, Javi Gracia, and Sam Allardyce—before being relegated from the Premier League last year, were forced to do so.

Jacobs thinks a transfer might be a “very decent deal” and that he has been extensively connected with a move to Elland Road. Reports have suggested that a £5.5 million deal is close.

“With Glen Kamara, that one has some substance, too, and for about £5 million, it might be a steal. In my opinion, the player would prefer to move to Leeds than remain at Rangers.

And from a financial standpoint, Leeds, who don’t want to spend a lot of money, get a player who can help them climb back up into the Premier League.

Middlesbrough has also expressed some interest, so there are a few Championship clubs in the running, but as of the time of recording, nothing is definite with Kamara.

With Kamara, 27, having been such a crucial player for Rangers over the years, Leeds could do well by bringing him in late in the transfer window.

He has brilliantly anchored the midfield in 193 outings for Scottish Premiership powerhouses, and he has also earned 52 caps for Finland. He tasted success in the Scottish Cup the following season after winning the league with the Gers in 2020–21, and he would bring a plethora of talent and expertise to Elland field’s centre of the field.

Given Rangers’ reputation throughout history, Kamara, who is 27 years old, is ready to join and make an immediate impact. Kamara could elevate Leeds’ midfield just as Piroe will do in attack thanks to his 89.4% pass completion rate in the Scottish Premiership last year.

The Finn has also received praise from Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard for being both “fantastic” and “excellent” in the past, when they worked together at Ibrox as player and manager, respectively, which emphasizes the pedigree he brings as a footballer.
